Our society is moving from an industrial to an information society with an ever growing amount of information. This phenomenon is also reflected in the field of technical documentation: Machinery is becoming more and more complex and the amount of information for production, operation, repair etc. increases visibly.

Modern information management therefore deals with the planning, organization, coordination and control of information. Thus, non-productive work processes for the input of data and the cumbersome search for information is avoided. The separate storage of data and layout enables the publication in different media and the data granulation provides for the re-use of information for different target audiences.

CONDOK uses the information management system "GRIPS" for the production of IETM based on standard internet technologies and/or according to S1000D^TM.
