Construction of installation and retrofit kits

An installation or a retrofit kit for a container or carrier vehicle is supposed to be converted or re-designed. Not only standard components, but also individual systems, devices and components are to be installed.

The following questions are always important for project leaders and constructing engineers:

• What purpose has the installation kit / retrofit kit?
• What device configuration is planned?
• What material is required?
• Can any existent material be reused?
• Does all the equipment even fit into my vehicle / my cabin?
• Is the power supply sufficient and are there any reserves left?
• How is the weight distributed and where is the center of gravity?
• Does a red/black separation need to be considered?
• Does the staff have enough space to work and is ergonomic design taken into account?

CONDOK develops realization and installation concepts for you

Based on longterm experience with installation and retrofit kits as well as with the corresponding systems (cabins, containers, box bodies, vehicles), CONDOK carries out installation analysis and develops realization and installation concepts.

First, an installation analysis is carried out according to the customer´s requirements. With this analysis the feasibility of a project is checked to determine if, e.g., the integration of a communication installation kit into the corresponding cabin can be realized.

Then, the realization and installation concept is produced using state-of-the-art software.

All installation and retrofit measures of the project will be displayed clearly. A detailed list of all used electronic and mechanical components as well as of the communication system proportion and other information shows what is dismounted, adapted or installed. The list is supplemented by colored sectional representations, which illustrate the position and arrangement of the components.

A project-specific energy balance shows how the power supply is realized. Circuit diagrams, block diagrams and wiring diagrams completely show the electronics and the communication system proportion.

All information is summarized in a clearly structured document such that the project leaders can view all design-engineering and logistic measures at a glance.

If required, an IT Security Model is created for the whole project.

Use of 3D software

The complete construction of the installation or retrofit kit is carried out at CONDOK using 3D software. A cabin or vehicle will be already equipped at the PC with all devices, components and mechanical parts. For this purpose, the 3D designer uses an extensive image library. Already drawn / designed parts can be used for the new project. This saves both time and money!

Following this process, a realistic, detailed illustration of the project is already available when the work with the real components starts. Thus, the project leaders can see at an early stage if the construction can be realized without problems and if the ergonomics and technical regulations are observed.

The 3D illustrations provide the basis for the 2D engineering drawings, which are used for producing the installation or retrofit kits.
