The Product Safety Act obliges every market player to make only products available on the market that meet the applicable safety requirements. This seemingly trivial requirement quickly leads manufacturers to consider which directives and standards apply to their products. The safety of a product cannot be tested on the market; it must be defined and documented in a conformity evaluation process during development. This requirement also applies to products intended for use in the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr).

We support the responsible parties in the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr; BAAINBw) and in the respective services as well as civilian industry in the implementation of technical safety requirements.
